Everyone has a desire or need for self improvement. Conscious mind is relatively weak. It vacillates continuously and creates an endless round of excuses for not getting something done. It lacks the kind of stabilizing force that the subconscious possesses.
Two periods a day may be set aside for training your subconscious mind. The periods need be only for ten minutes. The best time is very early in the morning shortly after awakening. The other period can be during the day. The first step is to identify the area you want to work on, for example:
- Insomnia
- Confidence
- Stage fright
- Study habits and memory
- Smoking
- Weight loss or weight gain
- Pain and healing
- Skin problems
- Headaches
Pick one area in the beginning and write down the script for making your own tape. One self hypnosis tape should deal with one problem only. You should record it in your own voice. The first part of the script deals with deep relaxation of all parts of the body. This is followed with visualizing a very pleasant scene. In the end there is the self suggestion part dealing with the problem. Each tape should not be more than 30 minutes long. A soothing music can be used in the background. Use a recliner to lie down and listen to the tape. After initial success more tapes can be made to deal with more issues. Regular practice is a must for achieving positive results.
